3 goals disallowed, another national team secures qualification

The Colombian national team has secured a place in the round of 16 of the World Cup, after defeating Congo with a minimum score of 1-0 in the match valid for Group K, held at the "Estadio Guadalajara".

The match started at a high pace and with chances from both camps, with Congo's goalkeeper, Lionel Mpasi, becoming a nightmare for the Colombian attackers, stopping Luis Díaz several times.

"Los Cafeteros" also had three goals disallowed throughout the match for offside and fouls.

However, Nestor Lorenzo's side's dominance was rewarded in the 76th minute, when Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz found the back of the net to score his second goal of the tournament.

With this victory, Colombia takes the lead in Group K with 6 full points, two more than Portugal.
