Euro U-19 for girls, Albania closes the qualifiers with a loss and in second

The U-19 girls' national team played the third and last match against Belarus at noon today, valid for the first round of the 2025 European Championship for this age group.

In the meeting held at the 'Arena Kombëtare' stadium, Albania led by Luçije Gjini was defeated with the result 1-2

The Reds don't give up and score a fantastic goal in the 88th minute from a free kick by Rosela Vasa, which is accurate, reducing the difference to 1-2. Vasa's goal and the remaining time is not enough, with the match ending in favor of Belarus, which secures first place in group B1.

Albania ends this European adventure in second place in group B1 and in the second round will play again in League B. The first places in the groups automatically go to League A, while the end of all matches is expected to determine also the second best place that also moves up a league.

In the other group match played at the 'Home of Football', Montenegro defeated Moldova 5-0.

All the matches of the first round took place in Albania and were successfully organized by the Football Federation. The teams were accommodated in Durrës during the entire period that the tournament was organized, as the matches took place in the 'National Arena' stadium and in the 'House of Football'. /FSHF
