Just days after leading Liverpool to a convincing 2-0 win over Manchester City, manager Arne Slott "badly stung" the reigning Premier League champions.

In a press conference on Tuesday, the Dutch coach was asked about the future of Mohamed Salah, who is out of contract at the end of the season and with the striker saying on Sunday that the 2-0 win over City could be the game his last against this team at "Anfield".

Slot said that perhaps Salah knows better than others that next season Manchester City will probably not play in the Premier League.

"Maybe Mohamed knows more than the rest of us about the 115 accusations that have been made against City, so he expects them not to be in the Premier League next season. Just kidding," the Liverpool coach declared.

Manchester City face more than 100 allegations, dating from 2009 to 2018, of alleged Financial Fair Play breaches when the club was trying to establish itself as the biggest force in English football.
