Zhegrova reveals: I was invited by the coach of Albania, but I chose Kosovo

Edon Zhegrova has revealed that he was contacted by the former coach of Albania, Christian Panucci, to choose the red and black team, at the national level.

In an interview for "Klan Kosova", Zhegrova stated that his desire was to play only for Kosovo and he made the decision within 15 seconds.

"At the moment when Albania came to invite me to the national team, coach Panuçi came at that time, I left it as an open possibility. I didn't say yes or no. After a week, the late, legend, Fadil Vokrri contacted me and we met in the same restaurant with my father and my manager. To be honest, as he also said in the interview, it didn't last long. For 15-20 seconds he asked me: "Will you play for Kosovo"? I immediately said "yes". My heart beat for Kosovo. I have my family and friends there and every time I come to Pristina I feel good. With all due respect to the Albanian National Team and all Albanians wherever they are", said Edon Zhegrova.
