World Cup opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup took place at the legendary Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

This 23rd edition of the championship has expanded to 48 participating teams and will also be welcomed by the United States of America and Canada.

The show began with the message "Football unites! Welcome to Mexico." During the ceremony, well-known artists such as the group Manà, Los Ángeles Azules along with singer Belinda, as well as artist J Balvin performed.

 The official anthem of the tour, titled "Dai Dai," was performed on stage by Shakira and Burna Boy. Meanwhile, the night before, tenor Andrea Bocelli sang the song "Dna."

After all the performances are over, attention will shift to the opening match of the tournament, where the home team of Mexico will face South Africa.
