Atalanta celebrates in the capital, Lazio stops at the post

Atalanta continues its positive performance in Serie A during 2026, winning 2-0 away against Lazio.

The first goal came late in the first half, when Éderson converted from the penalty spot after a handball in the area. Earlier, both teams had created good chances, with Lazio also hitting the post.

In the second half, the home team won a penalty, but the decision was overturned for offside after a VAR review.

Atalanta doubled their lead with a precise long-range shot from Nicola Zalewski. Lazio tried to get back into the game, but failed, hitting the post in the dying minutes.

With this victory, Atalanta remains undefeated in the championship in 2026, while Lazio continues its difficult moment at home.
