The midfielder of Inter and the Turkish national team, Hakan Çalhanoglu, has recently stated that he received several offers, but chose to stay at Inter.

In a statement given to the Turkish media, the midfielder emphasized that there is always criticism for him, but according to him, the facts show something else.

"When it comes to me, there are always critics, but I try not to listen to them too much. I don't want to sound like a bigot, but after 21 years it is the first time that a Turkish player has returned to the Golden Ball ranking, I am proud of this," he said first.

Furthermore, the 30-year-old put an end to hints about his future at Inter, stating that he has no intention of leaving, despite the offers.

"I've had offers in the last few months, but I said I'm going to stay at Inter and Inter won't let me go anyway. So, like I said, it's not totally up to me. I'll try to play at the level the highest possible. Regarding the national team, I want to be able to play my 100th match for Turkey," said Hakan Çalhanoglu, among others./ CNA
