15 saves in one match! Curacao goalkeeper makes World Cup history

The extraordinary performance of 37-year-old Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room in the goalless draw against Ecuador has entered the World Cup history books.

The "keeper" of the Caribbean national team recorded a full 15 saves during the match, approaching Tim Howard's historic record from 2014, who had made 16 saves.

Ecuador completely dominated the game, creating 28 attempts on goal and 15 shots on target, but were stopped by bad luck, the post and countless saves by Room.

This result gave Curacao their first historic point in their first World Cup debut. Meanwhile, in the same group, Germany has already secured the top spot, Ivory Coast is very close to qualifying, while the race remains open for third place, which could send another team through.
