"I wish you success in continuing the brilliant work of your predecessors"/ Berisha congratulates His Beatitude Archbishop Joan

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a post on social networks, congratulated His Beatitude Joan on his election as Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all of Albania.

Berisha says he wishes him success in continuing the honorable work of his predecessors.

" Congratulations to His Grace, Archbishop Joan Pelushi."

Today, at its meeting, the Synod elected His Grace, Monsignor Joan Pelush, Archbishop of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania, successor to the illustrious Archbishop Anastasios Janullatos.

"On this occasion, on behalf of the Democratic Party, I heartily congratulate Archbishop Joan Pelushi on assuming his high ecclesiastical and divine mission as Archbishop, the highest leader of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania. I also wish him success in continuing the brilliant work of his predecessors for the further development and consolidation of tolerance, dialogue and interreligious cooperation in Albania," Berisha writes./ CNA
