The Mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, has reacted on social media to the election of the new Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, Monsignor Joan.

Philo writes that the election of His Beatitude John is a special moment for the Orthodox Church and begins a new era in church leadership.

" His Grace, Metropolitan of Korça, Bishop Joani was elected the new Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania and Primate of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.

"The new Archbishop has served for a long time as the Metropolitan of Korça and has contributed to the development of the spiritual and social life of the believers.
