Beneficiaries of economic assistance and persons with disabilities are among the categories that will benefit from the second Social Resilience Package for groups in need. Speaking about the support of these groups, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, said in the Assembly that the second Package of Social Resistance is stable and will enable the increase for the second time within the year of economic aid.

“64 mijë familje do të mbështeten duke filluar nga 1 tetori me 10% të rritjes së masës së ndihmës ekonomike. Do të dyfishojmë masën e ndihmës ekonomike për gratë kryefamiljare me dy fëmijë. Pasi kemi trefishuar masën e mbështetjes për fëmijët jetimë, për gratë e trafikuara dhe të dhunuara, jemi duke dyfishuar mbështetjen dhe masën e ndihmës ekonomike për të moshuarit mbi 65 vjeç, për të moshuarit e vetmuar, për të moshuarit pa pension pleqërie, për të moshuarit pa pension social”, bëri me dije Manastirliu.

Në fjalën e saj Manastirliu tha se me Paketën e re, mbështetje do të ketë edhe për personat me aftësi të kufizura.

“Ne indeksojmë masën për pagesat e personave me aftësi të kufizuara 7.5%. Janë më shumë se 70 mijë persona me aftësi të kufizuar që iu indeksohet pagesa mujore. Dhe janë mbi 18 mijë ndihmës apo kujdestarë të tyre, që po ashtu përfitojnë nga indeksimi. Kemi vendosur që të mbështesim kategorinë e personave të cilët janë të verbër, të kategorisë së parë dhe të dytë dhe gjithashtu ata të cilët janë paraplegjikë dhe tetraplegjikë me status, duke i garantuar edhe rritjen e mbështetjes për energjinë elektrike”, tha Manastirliu.

After the 10% increase in the payment of economic assistance in January 2022 and its doubling and tripling for certain categories, such as mothers with many children, orphans, girls and women victims of violence and trafficking, etc., the second Social Resistance Package enables the increase of the payment of economic assistance with 10% for all beneficiary families of the scheme; the doubling of economic assistance for 15,000 female heads of households and children; doubling the economic assistance for more than 5,900 lonely seniors without old-age pension and without social pension. The newly approved Social Resilience Package also supports around 90,000 disabled people and their carers with the 7.5% indexation of the monthly disability payment and increases energy support for over 11,000 blind, paraplegic and quadriplegic people.
