The fuss about gluten

A patient whom I was advising to avoid gluten foods asked me jokingly:

- Why, doctor, was gluten not a problem 30 years ago?

While I was talking to him about the increased sensitivity, questions like:

-Do people overreact to gluten?

-Is it just a fad?

From this conversation I got the idea of ??a status to share with you.

Gluten sensitivity is something we should consider more closely.

Many years ago, people ate wheat bread and other gluten products and did not have autoimmune reactions or things like celiac disease.

Realistically, there is an increase in gluten sensitivity in the population and it has less to do with our genetics and more to do with many of our grain production agricultural practices that we cannot adapt to.

But what can we do?

Many of my clients suffer from a host of annoying symptoms such as:

- Difficulty controlling appetite

- Chronic fatigue.

- Iron deficiency anemia.

- Itching of the skin, redness, etc.

The fuss about gluten

- Anxiety, insomnia, nervousness.

- Continuous flatulence

- Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting.

- Constipation or diarrhea

- Acne

- Back pain, joint pain.

My advice is simple:

- try completely removing gluten from your diet and see how you feel after 1 or 2 months.

It takes a little planning, discipline and self-responsibility, but you can do it!

If you feel better, you may just discover that you have a gluten sensitivity.

It can also be symptoms that point to intestinal flora imbalance and inflammation, hormonal imbalance, etc., in these cases you will need treatment and healing.

You need a proper medical consultation!
