The Shiroka-Zogaj panoramic road is undergoing a transformation.

This strategic investment is expected to have a direct impact on the development of tourism along Lake Shkodra. Residents of the area appeal for the works to proceed at an accelerated pace to give this axis the attention it deserves.

Currently, almost all excavation and filling along the length of the road has been completed, while over 80% of the supporting structures are nearing completion. The route is open for about 90% of its length, significantly easing traffic during construction.

At the same time, the laying of road layers has begun, while the arrangement of white water systems is also ongoing, a key measure to avoid flooding and damage during the rainy season. The interventions also include the relocation of existing power lines and water supply lines.

An integral part of the project is the construction of the KUZ system, which ensures sewage and water drainage. So far, over 35% of this line has been completed.

The new road is seen as a vital project that ends decades of isolation and turns the Zogaj area into an accessible destination worthy of the potential it holds./CNA
