Located in the heart of the museum area, Hotel Bar Restaurant Kodra remains the main stop for thousands of visitors who come to the stone city. The view offered from the balcony of Kodra is spectacular, from there you can see Gjirokastën 360 degrees.

The hotel started its activity in the service of tourists 25 years ago in a difficult period when Gjirokastra itself and our country were not ready to serve the demands of those who wanted to enjoy Albania. Seeing the ever-growing number, the hotel increased its offer, services, and today the accommodation facilities have been added.

Hotel Bar Restaurant "Kodra" is one of the only venues where live music evenings are organized every weekend, and where participation is high not only among the few foreigners who are in the city during this period, but also among locals who choose to enjoy a different weekend. The manager of this complex, Jani Konini, since the opening of the hotel until today, tells CNA about the beginnings and the pleasure he receives from visitors' wishes, complaints and requests.

"The hotel has been open for about 25 years and its activity has been growing. Both owners are interested in growing their business. Initially, there were 13 rooms and now there is another Hotel and another Hotel is being built in Lefkada, Greece. The activity has been increasing since the tourists have helped a lot during the season, there is a high influx of foreigners and locals. In general, everyone who has come here has left satisfied with the hospitality, the food and the service. They really like traditional dishes such as pie, qifqits, pashakoft, sarma lakror pulr is a large dish for four people. During this period, it is a bit gloomy and for this we must help all the municipality and businesses, we organize evenings with live music and we see that there is a large participation of locals because people are stressed and tired and choose to have fun on a weekend", says Jani Konini

In addition to hospitality, comfortable conditions and traditional cuisine, the Bar Restaurant Hotel "Kodra" serves as the ideal place from which to enjoy the view of Gjirokastra. The hotel rooms are a fusion of two basic elements that personify Gjirokastra: stone on the walls and wood in the furniture.
