May 11th Elections/Topalli: Stopping the departure of young people remains

The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, spoke during an interview about the opposition's request for a caretaker government.

When asked whether the DP would enter the elections if a caretaker government was not achieved, Topalli answered confidently, ruling out a boycott of the elections as a possibility:

"We all intend to respect what is written in the statute, what has been repeated is absolutely true, but I am confident because there is a visible increase in dissatisfaction with the current government that goes from scandal to scandal," said Topalli.

Topalli highlighted the decisive role of the diaspora vote in the elections of May 11, 2025.

One possibility is that the diaspora as a great electoral power can be made if it mobilizes and organizes and is convinced because it is freer than the state administration. It does not accept pressure, it does not want its nation to disappear. It is essential to stop the departure of young people, which is high. A drama and an alarm that those who think realistically and seriously know how to appreciate.

Topalli also spoke about the method of selecting candidates for MPs and the primaries promised by the leader of the Democratic Party, Berisha.

"The method of selecting candidates is not a front-line issue, it is an internal issue of the DP, but not a worrying problem," said Topalli.
