May 11 Elections/ Head of OSCE/ODIHR Mission meets with Celibashi

As previously announced, today after noon, the head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission delegation, led by Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, held a meeting with the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi.

During the meeting, a complete overview of the preparations for the May 11, 2025 elections, the registration process and the progress of the external voting process were presented, and all issues of interest to Mr. Zanier's team were addressed.

As reported by the CEC, the discussion also focused on measures to guarantee the integrity of the process and the transparency of the electoral administration. Zannier was informed in detail about the institutional efforts together with SPAK and the General Prosecutor's Office to combat electoral crimes and avoid the use of state resources in the campaign.

The OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission also held meetings with other CEC bodies, including the Regulatory Commission and the Complaints and Sanctions Commission, to ensure a full and comprehensive observation of the electoral process. /CNA
