Works on the Ndroq-Plepa road and the Beshirit Bridge/ Rama and Balluku inspect

Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku today inspected the Ndroq-Plepa road. This is a project that is in the first phase of rehabilitation and is considered an important work not only in terms of infrastructure, but also for the economic, agricultural and agrotourism development that the area is receiving. Also, part of the project and inspection was the reconstruction of the Beshiri Bridge.

During his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that this is a highly sought-after axis and now it is time for its rehabilitation. Rama emphasized that this road will help in the economic and tourist development of the area, for families, but also for the state budget.

"This is a highly sought-after axis. And now its turn has come."

"We believe that the development of tourism will also be positive, both for the state budget and for the household economy," said Rama.

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku discussed some of the details of the project. Balluku emphasized that the construction of the bridge will be a great help, as it eliminates curves.

Balluku said that the aim is for these works to be completed by December of this year.

"The bridge eliminates the curves that are there. We expect it to be closed by December."

The 2026 budget also foresees additional extensions of 15 km in total. The progress is very good, it is 30% of the volume. Traffic cannot be stopped because there is no parallel axis.

We aim to complete it before New Year's Eve 2026.

The bridge is being built entirely new, it is 1.6 km long and will be a category C road that meets all requirements," said Balluku. /CNA
