The Socialist Party has responded to the CEC regarding the placement of electoral post offices in Tirana and other cities.

The Secretary for Legal and Electoral Affairs in the SP, Eridian Salianji has clarified through a letter to the Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi that the posters were displayed within the contractual agreements made by the Socialist Party with commercial entities operating in this field.

SP has emphasized that the placement of posters was done in accordance with the electoral code.

"Regarding the first point, we inform you that the posters were displayed within the contractual agreements made by the Socialist Party with commercial entities operating in this field and were not benefited within the proportional distribution process made according to the provisions of Article 79 of the Code Electoral as well as instruction no. 6, dated 23.3.2021, of the State Election Commissioner. "On the use of propaganda and educational materials and the rules for their display during the election campaign". Further information regarding the procedures followed for this contracting will be made known to your institution in the context of sending detailed financial reports within the deadlines set by the Electoral Code and law no. 8580, dated 17.2.2000 "On political parties", amended .

During today's meeting of the CEC, this institution reported on several denunciations regarding what were considered propaganda materials. The CEC has a deadline for the SP to make available the contractual agreements made by the socialists with commercial entities within 48 hours./CNA.al
