Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has stated that a scenario is being prepared for the release of 5D leader Erion Veliaj.

Këlliçi emphasizes that this is also the aim of the interim decision taken by pioneer Sokol Sadushi.

"The initiative of the President of the Supreme Court to come up with another unifying decision related to security measures with prison arrest aims at this. Pioner Sadushi has started the procedure and on April 9 we will have a verdict, probably motivated by concerns about the excessiveness of security measures with arrest and the state of pre-trial detention," Këlliçi underlined.

The MP declares that Sadushi's initiative will bring relief to Veliaj and other senior officials and ministers of Edi Rama who are headed to prison due to corruption affairs.

According to him, this is the reason why Veliaj's appeal to the Supreme Court was suddenly postponed and at the same time, reports from his international lawyers in favor of his release emerged.

Këlliçi emphasizes that after this decision, the lives of the corrupt will be made easier.

For the deputy, this is a conspiracy, an intervention to weaken justice.

There is a well-organized scenario aimed at getting Veliaj out of prison, according to a scheme that only the government can guarantee.

Even though he faces 13 charges of corruption, concealment of assets, and even money laundering, many mechanisms are being put in place to ensure that the most corrupt mayor in Tirana's history regains his freedom.

The initiative of the President of the Supreme Court to issue another unifying decision related to security measures with prison arrest aims to achieve this. Pioner Sadushi has initiated the procedure and on April 9 we will have a verdict, likely motivated by concerns about the excessiveness of security measures with arrest and the state of pre-trial detention.

It is clear that Sadushi's initiative will bring relief to Veliaj, and other senior officials and ministers of Edi Rama who are headed to prison due to corruption affairs.

Once Sadushi and the United Colleges come up with this unifying decision, the lives of many corrupt people will be made easier.

But other ordinary citizens who have done much less damage than Veliaj and Edi Rama will continue to remain in prison.

This is another intervention to weaken justice, and to increase the immunity and inviolability of the Prime Minister and his associates.

If Belinda Balluku is defended by a vote in the Assembly and Erion Veliaj is released from prison with the tricks of the Supreme Court, then the battle against corruption in Albania is definitively lost.

This is an organized conspiracy against the investigation, against justice, against accountability, and in favor of thieves.
