Law on Referendums/ Balla, call to the opposition

The head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has called on the opposition to contribute to the Referendums law.

Balla stated that the majority is ready to host the opposition for meetings and discussions on the referendum law, although he declared with conviction that the opposition will not accept him to sit at the table.

"The first is that the welcome opposition contributes to playing its role in the Albanian Parliament. The opposition cannot take the country's parliamentary life hostage. The opposition requested the establishment of two special commissions, it had all our support to approve every request it had, there I hope, they will play their role. This law will also pass through all the filters where the opposition is involved.

My call for the opposition is to distance itself from violence and here I return to the very clear messages of the EP, of the German Bundestag, that I saw the German flag held in one hand and the Molotov cocktail in the other, only hooligan fans can be them. No German fan has been seen setting fire to police cars.

I don't agree with taking money out of employees' salaries to pay for damages.

"I want to say our full readiness if they want to meet here in the hall, we are ready to wait for them even before we hand them over, which is not going to happen," said Balla./ CNA
