The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, visited this evening the State Police employees who were injured during the opposition protest and are receiving treatment at the Trauma Hospital.
Through a reaction, Lamallari states that attacks on the state uniform, which was at the service of citizens and institutions, are intolerable.
"At the Trauma Hospital to see up close the State Police officers injured by Molotov cocktails and dangerous vehicles while on duty to guarantee order and the safety of citizens. Attacks on the state uniform are intolerable!"
It is a great disgrace and disloyalty to put minors in front of them, to push them to light Molotov cocktails and throw fireworks at institutions and State Police employees. This is not a protest, but a pure act of manipulation and criminal exploitation of minors.
"The perpetrators, organizers and instigators of violence will be held accountable. We will stand strong in defense of the law, institutions and every citizen of the Republic of Albania," Lamallari said. /CNA
