GJKKO's decision on Berisha/Gjata: Shows that there is no reasonable doubt against Berisha

Çlirim Gjata, member of the Presidency of the DP, said that the judge decided to remove the security measure and this shows that there is no evidence.

"The fact that today Sali Berisha does not have any security measures, this shows that there is no reasonable doubt, that there was no evidence. In such conditions, charges should be dropped because there is not even a reasonable doubt", said Gjata.

Gjata said that this decision was influenced by the Strasbourg decision that brought the date to review the case closer.

"It is rare for the European Court of Human Rights to decide a quick trial. So what did the Court do? He said that if Strasbourg gives us discretion, we'd better make a decision quickly and get him out of custody", said Gjata.
