Veliaj, in 2016, with the protest in front of the Administrative Appeals Court, set the first precedent in the history of Albania when the state organized a protest against justice institutions with its employees.

Regarding this very dangerous precedent on May 13, 2016, Prosecutor Olsi Dado at that time even asked several television stations for footage of the protest and the Tirana Prosecutor's Office mainly registered criminal proceedings with number 3910 of 2016 , which concerned the criminal offense of organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations, threatening a judge and insulting a judge.

Veliaj, who pretended to protest against concrete construction, is the same one who has concreted every corner of Tirana like no one else, granting permission for hundreds of towers even in the heart of Tirana, and where from the 8,000 empty apartments he found, he has increased them to 52,000 empty apartments.
