The coalition between the Democratic Party and Ilir Meta's PL has been heavily criticized by politicians.

After the opposition's results in the elections, these criticisms have been even stronger. The reason for the connection of this coalition was shown this evening by the member of the Presidency of the DP, Jozefina Topalli.

She stated that Sali Berisha accepted the coalition with Ilir Meta, as it gave him the opportunity to enter the local elections.

"This coalition was made because I do not have to hide the fact that Ilir Meta gave us the opportunity to participate in the elections. We have to see... if you don't put the name of the coalition chairman on the ballot, what are you asking Sali Berisha", Topalli emphasized./ CNA.al
