Tirana's water supply is one of the problems identified by the opposition candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi.

He said that today in Tirana you pay 4 times for water and the supply is far from Veliaj's expectations and propaganda.

Kelliçi said that there are areas in Tirana that have only 2 or 3 hours of water supply per day and citizens pay 4 times for water.

"The UKT bill, increased by 40 percent from Veliaj, they pay for the water they buy for drinking and cooking, they pay for the energy for the pumps with which they fill the deposits on the terraces, and in certain areas in Tirana, where they have no seed access with UKT or are not in the network, they still pay, even though they have opened wells", he said, while promising that this will end.

He emphasized that a 24-hour supply of water without interruption is impossible, as it would require a very large investment, for which there are no opportunities, but there is the potential to bring it to supply up to 17 hours a day./ CNA.al
