The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting with Albanians in Italy, specifically in Milan. Berisha emphasized that 2025 will be the year when the Diaspora will sign with its vote the removal of Edi Rama, while adding that dictatorships do not live forever. 

"The ardent patriots are melting the frost and bringing the blessed spring of democracy. Great gratitude for this ardent welcome, a welcome that is turning into the most beautiful hymn for the opposition and for the victory of Albanian democracy. We are in the Milan of the great friend of the Democrats, Silvio Berlusconi.

A thank you to the great Italian nation for everything they have done for Albania and Albanians. Albania's relations with Italy are hundreds of years old, but we Albanians have a saying; a good friend in difficult times and the Italians have been there for us.

After communism, Italy was the first country to be invaded by Albanians and now Italy has opened its doors again to Albanians fleeing Rama's narco-dictatorship. In recent years, I cannot say that Albania has become a cursed country, but it has become a country from which Albanians only wanted to leave.

It became the place where Albanians experienced the greatest misery, but dictatorships do not live forever. Today, before you, I proclaim the year 2025 as the blessed year of the Albanian diaspora, the year of Albanians who everywhere in the world raised the name of Albania high.

"The year of Albanians who repeat to themselves that they will become the god of Albania. It is the year of the Diaspora because this year you will give your nation and your family the most beautiful gift, you with your vote sign the victory of the Democratic Party, sign the rotation, sign the end of the narco-dictatorship", said Berisha. /CNA
