Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has shared, through a reaction on social media, details about the meeting held with American Congressman Clay Higgins. Këlliçi states that he discussed with Higgins how Albania has failed to fight organized crime and has strengthened it year after year.

The MP emphasizes that the justice system and law enforcement agencies must ensure that they cooperate closely with partners in order to effectively combat organized crime. He notes that discussions with Congressmen Tim Walberg, Tracey Mann, Joe Wilson and Pete Sessions were held in the same spirit.

In the US Congress with many friends of Albania, among them Congressman Clay Higgins, ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement.

With Congressman Higgins, we had the opportunity to discuss how Albania has failed to fight organized crime, cooperating with it and strengthening it year after year.

The justice system and law enforcement agencies must ensure independence and cooperate closely with partners, in order to effectively fight organized crime, corruption, and transatlantic drug cartels, whose main partner in Albania is the government led by Edi Rama.

In the same spirit, conversations took place with Congressmen Tim Walberg, Tracey Mann, Joe Wilson, and Pete Sessions.
