SPAK to investigate Roskovec's Owl/Baçi: He committed an electoral

Democratic Party MP Luan Baçi, in a reaction from the blue headquarters, stressed that SPAK should investigate the Mayor of Roskovec, Majlinda Bufi. Baçi stated that she has committed an electoral crime and as such should be the object of SPAK and not of the District Prosecutor's Office.

"SPAK is showing more and more every day that it is nothing more than a branch of the ruling party.

The Mayor of Roskovec, Majlinda Bufi SPAK refuses to investigate. Since May 9, 2023, on the desk of the prosecutors of this institution, there has been a criminal report with number 66 filed by the Secretary General of the Democratic Party Flamur Noka, for two criminal offenses, 'Abuse of office' and 'Threat or violence of election participants'

The case was made public on May 4, 2023 by the show 'Piranja', where it is shown that a Municipality employee is fired simply because she participated in a meeting organized by the opposition in this city.

And not only that, but in the wiretaps conducted by investigative journalists, it is also clear the pressure that Majlinda Bufi exerts on the employee's family members to not go out on voting day, simply because they do not think and vote as she wants.

More than a year after this denunciation, SPAK has given up on investigating Bufi and transferred the case to the Fier district prosecutor's office for investigation. A move similar to file 189 of Dibra, which the Serious Crimes Prosecution yesterday and today's SPAK refused to investigate.

Even today, Majlinda, the party that runs the Municipality as if she had her own fiefdom, refuses to be investigated by the party's SPAK. With this stance, SPAK is not giving approval for Bufi Roskovec to continue stealing public funds, blackmailing citizens or manipulating votes, a job she does better than anyone else.

So, the Party's SPAK is not satisfied with the direct verbal threat of the chairwoman to an employee simply for participating in the opposition meeting, nor is it satisfied with the way she tries to orient the vote of a simple family to bring it under investigation.

Majlinda Bufi has committed an electoral crime and, for the very function she holds, should be the subject of SPAK and not the district prosecutor's office.

But it seems clear that now, on the eve of the parliamentary elections, Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku are trying to salvage as much of their tools as they can, with the aim of reusing them in the May 11 elections.

"But no matter how hard they try to save their collaborators who are nothing more than part of the machinery of state theft and vote manipulation, they will still not escape the judgment and civic punishment of the May 11 vote," said Baçi. /CNA
