EU/Rama Summit: Our students can study from Tirana in European universities!

Prime Minister Edi Rama, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, have appeared in a media conference where they are speaking about the work of the EU Summit in Tirana.

Rama emphasized that the development of the summit in our country is a message to Albanians that the EU is here with us. Among other things, he said that the EU needs the Western Balkans and vice versa.

"It is the first time that the EU leaves the borders of the EU to hold a summit and this happens in the Western Balkans, it is an unusual sign of an awareness of how much the Western Balkans need the EU and vice versa. I see the role of Albania in the region as a factor of peace, prosperity and cooperation. It is the moment that all the people in the region, and especially the Albanian people, convey the message that the EU is here for us. The EU has said that the Albanians are the people in favor of the EU in Europe. We come from the real hell of isolation and the total impossibility to connect with Europe, we have never given up this religion of faith in the EU. This meeting is a step, it is not the end of our journey towards the EU but it is a foundation stone that shows not only through the presence but also other facts.'- said Rama.
