Fier recount nears end/ DP deepens loss, PS gains votes

The vote recount process for the Fier Region is nearing its end. Most of the ballot boxes have been opened.

From the recount so far, there are no expectations for any movement of mandates between parties or even regarding the mandates of the candidates.

As for political entities, it turns out that the Socialist Party was deprived of 27 deserved votes, which were added after the recount. On the other hand, the Democratic Party coalition was unjustly added 108 votes from the May 11 count.

As for the candidates, Ceno Klosi of the Socialist Party turned out to have 888 undeserved votes in his name. Also, the PS candidate, Klevis Jahaj, had 448 votes removed on May 11.

From the opposition, Silva Hasaj is the candidate with the most unmerited votes, 689 such votes. She is followed by Gentian Çela who had 209 unmerited votes. The most damaged in this case was Ledion Çala.

Member of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission, Ledio Braho, has previously said that, unlike the recount in Tirana, in Fier it turns out that "we are not in conditions of human error, but it seems that there is deliberate activity by the counting groups."

However, it is expected that the Central Election Commission will make a decision on this issue after the recount process is completed./ CNA
