"SPAK should investigate"/ Himçi: Arson at Elbasan incinerator

The elected MP of the Democratic Party for the Elbasan Region, Blendi Himçi, accused today of intentional arson near the Elbasan incinerator area.

In a statement to 'Syri Tv', Himçi stated that this event should be passed on to SPAK for competence.

"This story happens twice, once in winter and once in summer.

And this has been done systematically and we are undoubtedly facing intentional arson.
Of course, even for the last arson, the prosecution of the general jurisdiction of the Elbasan judicial district has investigated the case and has registered a case for intentional arson and environmental crimes and is still under investigation, and of course it can very soon take the defendant. I believe that this is no longer a matter of the prosecution of the general jurisdiction of the Elbasan judicial district but is a matter of SPAK because in my view we are facing a structured criminal group.

This should be the responsibility of SPAK, we are facing a structured group that carries out criminal activities through a shell company called EcoELB, which is 100% state-owned, where the Municipality of Elbasan owns 51% of the shares and 49% is administered by the other 6 municipalities of the Elbasan district.

"Undoubtedly, systematic burning reduces the capacity of the amount of urban waste, but here it is claimed that it is only in the field of landfilling and not incineration.
