Rama: We did not ask for a single euro for the agreement with Italy

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a joint conference with Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, said that Albania has not made any calculations and has not requested any euro from the agreement with Italy. 

"Albania has had a very difficult historical journey and aspires to become part of the EU. We are a country in Europe that welcomed the Jews. I have read and seen in the Italian media things that I could not even imagine. We have not asked for a single euro for the agreement. This is because if we were to ask for the euro, we would not be the one who is. We have not calculated how the agreement will affect us. We have given the availability of our house, for a situation that Italy told us that you can help us. The agreement was not made for the sake of the Albanians' generosity. This is how the special relationship we have with Italy works only Italy and no other country should use it, for 1000 and one historical reasons of today and tomorrow", said Rama. /CNA
