The political leader of the PD for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, invited to Erla Mëhilli's show immediately after the end of the protest, said that today's protest was violent on the part of the police.

Kelliçi emphasized that the police used violence against the citizens who saw the start of the protest, with the aim of extinguishing it.

Also, Kelliçi said that the protest was legally announced, but the police violated us, threw gas and water while we were protesting peacefully.

"Mesaduke had an order today from Enver Hoxha's nephew to put down the protest in the first minutes. The violence was senseless. I was at the municipality of Tirana, the headquarters of 5D, and as soon as the previously announced protest started, the police began to confront the citizens. We did not get permission, but we announced as is the law. We asked them not to provoke because we were going to protest our right. 5 minutes after the start of the protest, they pushed us away from the main entrance of the municipality, they threw gas bottles at us and then doused us with water. No one was insulted or attacked.

A lady felt bad, we asked for help but no one helped us, they even hit and pushed us for no reason. I'm not saying it about victimization, because they like to use guns for that job as they want and when they want, we will not withdraw. We will announce the next protest very soon.
