The former mayor of Shkodra, Bardh Spahia, declared to the media that the reaction of the police was disproportionate.

According to him, today the citizens are protesting the widespread corruption and the crime that is making a name for itself in the country.

"An elderly protester had problems, but in a few minutes he stabilized and continued normally. Normally, as a doctor, I helped him. It was a case that shows the difficulties these citizens face when they protest. Civil disobedience was civic. The reaction from the police was disproportionate. The opposition is protesting the seizure of all Rama's powers, of the judiciary, the executive, and the legislature. There are endless economic reasons to protest today.

Many citizens are faced with the extreme choice of staying or fleeing the country. Corruption in the country makes its name, evaporating 400 million euros without providing services. 170 million euros were spent on the Llogara Tunnel, it is the endless money spent in Thumane-Kashar. Crime has taken off in the country. Protesters from Shkodra, but also from Lezha and other areas have also come to Tirana. Citizens want Albania to be freed from crime and corruption", declared Spahia.
