Minister Evis Kushi, at the national conference Achievements and challenges of sport in Albania, has informed that for the first time the government has financed a project, "Sports teams", with a budget of 7.5 million dollars in two years, which is implemented by the Albanian Olympic Committee .

" In this conference, we must talk not only about elite sport. We should also appreciate sports for everyone, not for sports as a simple exercise but for well-organized activities.

For this reason, the government has financed for the first time a project for mass sports in schools, it is the Sports Teams project, which until today has a budget of 7.5 million dollars in two years, which is implemented by the Albanian Olympic Committee", said Kushi.

Among other things, Kushi emphasized that the budget for sports is increasing from year to year, although it is still not where it should be.

"We decided to hold a sports conference because it is a moment of momentum for Albanian sports. We have a new law close to the European legislation. We have a decision that rewards the athletes. We have an increase in the budget for sports from year to year. Still not where it should be. All these are reflected in the high results of our athletes", said Kushi./ CNA.al
