The Socialist Party has no plans to lower taxes.

This was confirmed by the mayor and SP candidate for Tirana, Erion Veliaj. In an interview with journalist Elona Meço, Veliaj said that if he promised tax reduction, he would not be able to keep it as a promise.

He emphasized that the income from taxes will be used to give Tirana the physiognomy of a modern capital.

" Today, family members pay taxes like 10 years ago, while Tirana is much better than 10 years ago.

I cannot lie that I will be here on Monday, while someone else says we will remove the construction tax, half of the municipality is gone, then they say we will also remove 1/3 of other taxes. 1/3 of the half is gone.
