The Central Election Commission decided on Saturday that on the ballot for the May 14 elections, next to each political party, the name of the leader of that political force will be listed, while in the case of coalitions, there will not be a name of the leader, including the coalition "Together We Win".

This decision was not well received by the legal representative of Enkelejd Alibeaj's DP group, Indrit Sefa, who this Monday decided to appeal Celibashi's decision.

Sefa demands that the name of the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, be placed on the ballot alongside the "Together We Win" coalition.

"Celibashi's continuous calls for the coalition of the unwanted (Non-Grata) will not stop the Democratic Party from taking all the legal and institutional steps to return the CEC to the path of the law.

We submitted the appeal to KAS to follow the institutional path defined by the Electoral Code. In connection with it, we decided our proposal for the Ballot Paper and the Ballot Paper used in the general elections of 2021.

As I informed you in the public session, these decisions are consciously undermining the electoral process. There has never been and will never be an electoral subject on the ballot without the data of the one who directs it. I understand the embarrassment of setting the name but this is in no way in the hands of anyone but the law.
