Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has made a reaction on social networks regarding the IBAR process.
Këlliçi writes about why the government is not transparent about reports that IBAR has not been passed. Këlliçi says that integrity is not a matter for the government, which is transparent when it feels like it.
The MP asks the government not to leave the issue of the IBAR process in the dark, with only media reports and sources.
The reaction of the calf
Be transparent, what happened yesterday in Brussels?!
A day ago, the government was careful to spread some news as if there were positive signals from Brussels regarding what is known as the IBAR process, in particular the closure of the first group chapter related to the rule of law.
There was an enthusiastic atmosphere. The Minister of Justice, in a media appearance, further fueled these headlines, saying that IBAR had been confirmed, only a formal agreement was awaited.
As the hours passed, there was a lull. No such news was coming from Brussels. Today, most of the media reports that IBAR has not been passed. Member states again have demands and claims. The media reports with sources.
The question that arises is why is the government not transparent?
The same minister who came out yesterday and said it was done, why doesn't he come out today to clarify the opinion?!
European integration is not a private matter for the government, which makes it public when it feels like it and keeps it secret when it is not interested.
The responsible ministers who are noisy and talk endlessly about every topic, should come out today and say: Was IBAR approved, or did the chapter group that is keeping integration frozen close?
If so, great, let's move on to the next steps. If not, what happened?!
This is a basic responsibility that the government must have and exercise.
Don't leave this issue in the dark and in media reports with sources.
