The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has condemned the statement of the police, who denied having used violence against the deputy Agron Gjekmarkaj.

After the visit to the hospital, Bardhi emphasized during a statement to the media that the police statement was manipulative.

According to Bardhi, that statement reveals the real perpetrators who ordered the violence against the protesters and representatives of the Democratic Party.

Among other things, Bardhi admitted that the police have also used violence against many protesters and representatives of the opposition, but they are not in that condition for treatment.

Agron Gjekmarkaj's condition appears to be stable, Bardhi asserted.

"I strongly condemn the manipulative statement of the state police that instead of investigating the police officers for the violence they used against the deputy, they come out and deceive the public opinion that Gjekmarkaj lost his senses and felt bad.

The police did not even ask about the Guard, but they used unprecedented violence against a peaceful citizen.

For this reason, through this statement we learned the real authors of this ugly act.

This is the responsibility of the Director of Police and the Minister of the Interior to take measures for the violence against the member of the Parliament of Albania.

They were discovered, but they will receive the deserved response.

Gjekmarkaj's condition is stable and under control.

We have all been abused by the police, but our condition is not such that we can take medication.

He is not yet able to give clarifications on what happened, he confirmed that there was pressure and violence in the area where he was." /CNA
