"The arrest measure is excessive for the accused"! Lawyer:

Renowned lawyer Enida Bozheku has reacted to the arrest of Mayor Veliaj through a status on social media. Bozheku ironically says that for all politicians, the arrest measures have been excessive.

The lawyer continues her status by saying that security measures are only applied to ordinary people and are not considered excessive. Only in Albania do you hear legal interpretations according to appetite and without pillars of principles, says Bozheku.

"But should only ordinary people who clash with justice be subjected to unproven arrest measures?! In 17 years of a career as a lawyer between Italy and Albania, only in this absurd country of ours, in the essence of the European formation of law, is the criminal law really bad, it listens and reads interpretations of legal concepts according to appetite and without pillars of principles," writes Bozheku.

The lawyer continues her status by saying that there is no talk about those who are unjustly convicted, but only voices are raised for those convicted of corruption.

"And the worst thing is that we don't talk about those to whom these measures are given unfairly (because of habit), but we raise our voices for those to whom they were applied because of corruption," the status continues./ CNA
