The head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Niko Peleshi, has stated the reason why he voted to abstain in the Assembly in relation to the decision of the Constitutional Court on the mandate of MP Olta Xhaçka.

Pelesi stated that there was uncertainty about which right prevails in this case and the will of the MP is a Constitutional right.

For all this, the leader of the group of socialists emphasized that this is the reason why the Assembly addressed a letter to the Venice Commission for an opinion, which is the right that prevails.

"First of all, we agreed that when I appear before you, I will not speak in my name, but in the name of the group of socialists.  

I voted abstention, I am unclear who prevails. These things are based on the Constitution. The will of the deputy is a constitutional right. Since we have this conflict of law, we addressed the Venice Commission through a letter", said Peleshi./ CNA
