The director of the Pashko liberal institute, Ervis Iljazaj, was this Monday invited to "Now with Erla Mëhillin", to discuss Fredi Beleri's candidacy as an MEP. According to him, in that story there are three issues that intertwine with each other.

Arguing with the head of PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi, Iljazaj said that it makes no sense for PDIU to continue functioning as a party, since according to him, it has not had any achievements on the Cham issue.

"In this story, for me, there are three issues that are intertwined and it is difficult to find the thread. the first is a legal issue, the second a domestic policy issue and the third foreign policy. The reasons that Mr. Idrizi said may stand, Fredi Beleri could be a bad candidate in Albania, he could be a pro-Greek candidate, the fact that he is running as a Euro-deputy can prove this.

But this does not mean that it can interfere with the legal issue. I have a question in 34 years of transition, I do not believe that you are the head of a party that represents the Cham community. I do not believe that there is any achievement for the Cham issue. There is no. The question is here, does it make sense to have a party for the Cham issue? I am very pessimistic", said Iljazaj.

"The issue of Chameria Albanians does not belong to me. It's a matter that belongs to you too. You are telling me that there has been no progress in the Cham issue for 34 years. Çameria is Albanian land sacrificed in 1913 together with Kosovo so that this political Albania would remain. the Cham issue belongs to all of us.
