DP reacts to Veliaj's arrest/Këlliçi: The municipality and Edi

The Democratic Party reacted just minutes after the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj.

Belind Këlliçi, in a statement to the media, said that the Democratic Party has worked to uncover and document endemic corruption in the Municipality of Tirana.

Këlliçi stated that this arrest is only the first step in dismantling this infrastructure in Albania.

He further added that the Municipality of Tirana is now heading towards closure, and after it on May 11, the most corrupt government in Europe, the government of Edi Rama.

Finally, he called on citizens to unite with the DP with determination until the end.

 

"This week began with two long-awaited developments for all Albanian citizens!

Mr. LaCivita warned at the press conference that George Soros' puppets can no longer be partners of the US and they will be dismantled one by one.

What was considered impossible until yesterday, we will make possible!

The shock caused by the arrival of President Trump's right-hand man, Chris LaCivita, led to Edi Rama's immediate and inevitable order for the arrest of Erion Veliaj.

Edi Rama chose to arrest Veliaj today, with the sole purpose of suppressing the long-awaited news that the Democratic Party and the US are walking alongside each other, stronger and more secure than ever.

I also thank the Group of Experts at the Democratic Party, for their titanic work, for the endless hours of uncovering and documenting endemic corruption in the Municipality of Tirana, and for the great service they have rendered to the capital.

We guarantee Albanian citizens that the arrest of Erion Veliaj is the first step in the complete dismantling of George and Alex Soros' infrastructure in Albania.

After the closure of USAID, the Municipality of Tirana is also heading towards closure, and after it on May 11, the most corrupt government in Europe, the government of Edi Rama.

As Chris LaCivita promised a few hours ago, the influence of Soros and his puppets in our country will be extinguished forever.

I call on every Albanian citizen and every democrat to unite and resolutely carry our victory to the end.
