The secretary of OMONIA warns/ "If the Supreme Court does not release Beler, we will go to Strasbourg"

The secretary of OMONIA, Marin Suli, has issued a warning, while speaking about the issue of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri.

Suli said on the show of Erla Mëhilli that the case will be sent to the International Court of Strasbourg if no solution is found by the justice institutions in Albania.

He declares that they have the file ready and will start it immediately in Strasbourg if the Supreme Court does not change the security measure against Beler.

"As we have said before, we are waiting for the Supreme Court to set the date for changing the measure of arrest. Having very little faith in Albanian justice institutions, we have prepared the file to take to Strasbourg, if the need arises. We hope that the Supreme Court will come to its senses and return the matter to the law. The decision of Strasbourg is binding for the Albanian state", emphasized the secretary of OMONIA./ CNA.al
