A few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced in Parliament the increase in the price of energy.

The member of the Presidency of the DP, Enno Bozdo, spoke about this statement today. He said that the government's withdrawal a few months ago from the price increase was a political tactic due to the approaching elections.

The member of the DP Presidency claims that now that the elections are over, the only reason for the price increase is the financial deadlock due to theft and mismanagement.

"It is the same discussion as months ago. It was a political tactic not to raise the price at the time because we were entering election season. Today, energy markets have normalized and can be afforded even without price increases. The Prime Minister refers to summer, but Albania's reserves are at their maximum.

Fierza is at the limit. The summer season does not have the greatest energy consumption, the winter has more consumption. Recently, the prime minister has repeatedly boasted about the reform of the electricity sector. When everything goes well, this discussion does not need to be opened. According to the government, the situation is very good. The prices increase because the sector is in a financial deadlock due to mismanagement and theft," declared Bozdo./ CNA.al
