Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula declared today that he will not allow himself to be politically raped by the party for which he has sacrificed for years.

In a statement to journalists before the start of the plenary session in the Albanian Parliament, Sula was asked by journalists about his move in the last hour of the list making, after being placed on the list for the 'Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet' coalition.

Regarding the period of Basha's leadership of the Party, Sula said that there are wounds that need to be closed.

"Now, first of all, I would like to thank all the democrats of Peqin, Belshi, Cërrik, Gramshi, Elbasan, Librazhd and Përrenjas for working together for a dream and that dream is for the Democratic Party to triumph in the 2017, 2021 elections, which was not realized due to the internal problems of the Democratic Party, which the Democratic Party had within itself and the Chairman of the Democratic Party at that time, Mr. Basha. Unfortunately, I think that these problems should be closed, these wounds that were opened after the decision of September 9, 2021, where Mr. Basha unilaterally, unfairly made a decision to remove Mr. Berisha from the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party," said Sula.

Sula said that he asked Berisha not to have Basha at the helm of the party.

"I asked Berisha in 2021 that Basha no longer be at the head of the Democratic Party, which Mr. Berisha, along with his closest associates, the famous Flamur Noka, the famous Albana Vokshi, unfortunately today the Democratic Party has fallen into the hands of these two figures who are, I wouldn't say hated but unwanted by the Democrats, but hated by the Albanian citizens," Sula continued.

Sula emphasized that he will not allow himself to be politically raped by the party for which he has sacrificed for years.

"Mr. Berisha started his entire campaign at that time on the famous podium with the motto, every political individual and vote will be the first in the Democratic Party, unfortunately it was trampled with both hands. I cannot allow, I am using this term, to be raped, I have sacrificed my life, my family for that party and I am the only person who has never benefited and I have never received any office," said Sula /CNA
