"I am disappointed, but I remain an opposition member"/ Erion Dasho withdraws from the DP list

Doctor Erion Dasho, one of the well-known names from the Democratic Party primaries for the Berat Region, has decided to withdraw from the list for MPs.

Dasho announced today that he will not be part of the final list of candidates for MPs in the May 11 elections.

In an interview, Dasho emphasized that although he had held intensive discussions with DP leaders about the possibility of running, he had decided to withdraw from the open list, reasoning that those who are in daily contact with citizens deserve to run on the list.

"On this list, Democratic Party figures who are in daily contact with members, sympathizers, and potential voters of the opposition deserve to run."

"In the interest of maximizing the DP vote, I withdrew my name from participation in the open list, wishing success to my other colleagues," Dasho said. /CNA
