"If you had Rama in front of you, what would you say to him?"/

DP campaign manager Chris LaCivita, in an interview on the show Opinion with Blendi Fevziu, spoke about Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Asked by Fevziu what he would say to Rama if he were to meet him, LaCivita said: "The first thing I would say to him is that Albania is a very beautiful country and I would greet him. He is a politician, I have respect for heads of state, and you should have that too. That's what I think."

Excerpt from the conversation on the show

Fevziu: If you were to face Edi Rama, what would you say?

LaCivita: The first thing I would say is that Albania is a very beautiful country and I would salute it. He is a politician, I have respect for heads of state, you should too. That's what I think.

Fevziu: Mr. LaCivita, what is your relationship with the new United States administration?

LaCivita: Look, I have a lot of friends there and it was a pleasure to be part of a historic campaign like the one in America. One of the great things about this campaign was that I met and made a lot of new friends with so many good people who really want to make a difference in people's lives. It was really nice.

Fevziu: What about your relationship with President Trump?

LaCivita: It's very good.

Fevziu: Very good?

LaCivita: Yes.

Fevziu: How long have you known him?

LaCivita: I spent the last 3 years working for President Trump. I helped him…

Fevziu: Did you work closely with him?

LaCivita: During the campaign over the last 3 years I was the co-campaign manager, it was Susie Wiles and I. Every day we flew on the same plane with the President.

Fevziu: Together with the President.

LaCivita: Every day.

Fevziu: How is Trump? No, as president. As a gentleman off camera...

LaCivita: It's the same.

Fevziu: Is it the same?

LaCivita: He's the same. He has a very good sense of humor. He's very motivated and determined. I was always amazed by his pure energy that the President always had. At the end of an 18-hour day, all I wanted to do was go to the plane and sleep, take a nap, while he made phone calls and talked to people.

Fevziu: Is he that energetic?

LaCivita: He's very energetic! He's extremely very energetic. He's relentless. Also, President Trump is in a hurry. He's in a hurry to get things done...

Fevziu: However, he is not an ordinary President. He is an unusual President. It has been like this since 2016…

LaCivita: It's completely different.

Fevziu: Completely different? Why?

LaCivita: Because he sees things from a different perspective because he hasn't come from a political system.

Fevziu: It comes from outside.

LaCivita: It comes from abroad. American citizens look at Donald Trump and…

Fevziu: Even Obama, in a way, came from outside the political system.

LaCivita: Barack Obama was also a senator in Illinois and became what he became by going through the process. However, Obama had a vision and he had followers. Donald Trump has a vision and he has followers. His agenda puts America first. He also wants to put an end to many different problems around the world as well.

Fevziu: When I followed him on TV and through the various statements he made, my first impression was that the hardest job in the world is dealing with Trump's public relations. Is that true?

LaCivita: No, it's not true. Do you know why?

Fevziu: Tell me. Is it a secret?

LaCivita: Because Donald Trump himself does it.

Fevziu: Sometimes, he consults with you..?

LaCivita: Of course…/ CNA
