MP Enkelejd Alibeaj, after the meeting with the American ambassador Yuri Kim, in the Presidency of the Assembly, revealed that the focus of the discussions were the elections of May 14.

" During a fruitful and friendly meeting with the US ambassador in Tirana, we touched on topics related to the latest developments in the country to dwell longer on those of the May 14 local elections.

We discussed ODIHR's recommendations, concerns over the use of administration and the purity of candidates. These concerns were raised by the opposition before and have accompanied the problems of the recent election processes in Albania.

On behalf of the Democratic Party, I assured the US ambassador of our good will to be adequately represented in these elections by implementing the recommendations of the ODIHR, sharing with her various concerns, including the role of the media, before and during the electoral campaign. .
