General Secretary of SP, Damian Gjiknuri

The General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri, or as he is otherwise known, the "Earthquake" of file 339, revealed that the meeting with Ambassador Yuri Kim was within the framework of the May 14 elections.

Gjiknuri has assured Kim of the determination of the Socialist Party to actively contribute to an election process in accordance with the best international standards.

"I had the pleasure of hosting the ambassador of the United States of America in Tirana Mrs. Yuri Kim at the headquarters of the Socialist Party. The upcoming local elections on May 14, the current political situation in the country and the ODIHR's recommendations after the last electoral process were at the center of the discussion. I assured the ambassador of the determination of the Socialist Party to actively contribute to an election process in accordance with the best international standards.
